The Joint Meeting of Essex and Union Counties is seeking an Executive Director with a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Management or a closely related field along with at least five (5) years of progressively, responsible leadership experience in wastewater or water utility management, municipal authority management or local government management, with preference in the public sector dealing with a Public Works Department, Engineering Department or Water and Sewerage Department. The ideal candidate should have considerable knowledge and experience of modern policies and practices of public administration; a demonstrated knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations; and experience in coordinating and administrating a multi-million budget in a public sector. Effective verbal and written communications skills, including a high level of proficiency with social media platforms, are a must. The Executive Director must be a NJ resident and have a valid NJ driver license.
