The City of Delray Beach is conducting a national search for their next Utilities Director with experience in overseeing Water, Wastewater, Stormwater, and GIS Divisions. This is an exciting, opportunity with a variety of unprecedented challenges for an experienced Water/Wastewater professional. The new Utilities Director is an at-will position that will report to the City Manager while maintaining close working relationships between departments and will be responsible for a highly capable staff of over 120 full-time employees with an operating budget of over $23 million and CIP budget of approximately $17 million. The City of Delray Beach Utilities Department provides, water, sewer, reclaimed water, and stormwater pumping utility services to approximately 68,000 citizens of Delray Beach.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7 years of increasingly responsible utilities experience including three years of administrative and management responsibility

The salary range for this position is up to $152,297 (DOQ) in addition to $220 per month Auto Allowance. The Utilities Director will also receive an excellent benefits package including paid leave, comprehensive insurance, retirement benefits, and negotiable relocation costs.
