The Metropolitan Council’s Environmental Services Division (MCES) operates and maintains the wastewater collection and treatment system in the Twin Cities metropolitan region. It also provides coordinated long-range water resources and supply planning, air, and water quality monitoring to meet future needs. The purpose of this position is to administer revenue-related functions carried out by the MCES Industrial Waste and Pollution Prevent (IWPP) unit. Charges and fees involved include Strength Charges, Load Charges, Temporary Capacity Charges, Industrial Capacity Charges, late reporting fees, annual permit fees, industrial SAC charges, and other costs recovery fees. This position invoices over 950 customers each year and manages a small number of industrial discharge permits.
This position is eligible for a hybrid (remote work for up to 2 days a week) telework arrangement. The candidate's telework location must be in Minnesota or Wisconsin. Work may sometimes require travel between your primary work site and other sites within the metro area.
Salary: $78,000 to $117,728 annually
Bachelor’s degree in biology, environmental science, business
management, or field related to the position AND four (4) years of progressive
experience in program or project management.
OR Associate degree and six (6) years of experience.
