Laboratory Analyst

Seeking a Laboratory Analyst to join our Jones Ferry Road Water Treatment Plant team. We are looking for a team player with excellent work ethic and adaptability. Ideal candidate should have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills and the willingness to work with the team to fulfill the goals of the organization. 

 

Key Responsibilities include: 

  • Ensure water produced at the treatment facility is safe to drink and meets all regulatory requirements.  
  • Perform various quality control procedures on all analytical parameters to ensure reliability and accuracy of the results produced.  
  • Calibrate and maintain analytical equipment.  
  • Collect regulatory samples within the system. 
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations including preparing and submitting a variety of regulatory reports, remaining abreast of all current and pending laws and regulations.  
  • Maintain good relationships with community neighbors and customers, provide excellent customer service.  

 

Successful candidates should have: 

  • Associate degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or a related field and two years’ experience in a laboratory setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Valid North Carolina (NC) Driver’s License. 
  • Ability to maintain requirements of a safety sensitive position and meet the physical requirements that include exerting up to 50 pounds (bi-annual physical).

  • Salary Range is $55,481 - $83,221
