General Manager

KING GEORGE COUNTY - SERVICE AUTHORITY

Salary Range: $175,000 - $200,000/year

The King George County Service Authority Board of Directors is seeking an experienced individual to serve as their General Manager.  The current BOD has recognized serious deficiencies that the organization has experienced over the past years and have made inroads in improving the capabilities of the organization.  The BOD recognizes that there is still a significant amount of work to be done in the future, especially transitioning from groundwater to surface water as a potable source of water within the next 10-14 years. 

The BOD wants to obtain the employment of a highly skilled professional to lead the KGCSA during this period and to work in unison with our new county administrator in developing future successful economic development programs.  The KGCSA must be able to meet the challenges of developing a first-class utility operation to meet the future demands for our citizens.

KGCSA is the recipient of two ARPA funded grants totaling $21 million dollars for upgrading both the water systems and decommissioning two antiquated WWTP’s. This infusion of grant funds will greatly assist in much needed improvements to the various utility systems. All of the ARPA grant funds have been allocated and contracted for the various projects.

The BOD is looking for an experienced individual who has hands-on experience in dealing with public utility systems and appropriate financial knowledge to lead the organization. The individual must have clearly demonstrated skills with a proven track record in the public utility arena.
