Director, Water Operations

DC Water has partnered with POLIHIRE in search of a visionary leader for the comprehensive management, strategic direction, and operational excellence of its potable water distribution system as the next Director of Water Operations. This pivotal role ensures the safe, reliable, and compliant delivery of potable water while championing workforce development, asset stewardship, and interdepartmental collaboration.

Key responsibilities include strategic oversight and regulatory compliance, operational excellence and efficiency, innovation and technology integration, financial stewardship and resource management, emergency response and infrastructure management, industry leadership and collaboration, and team leadership and development.

The ideal candidate will have ten (10) years of progressive leadership experience in water utility operations, with at least five (5) years in a senior or executive management role. A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field is required.
