As Facilities Services Specialist, the incumbent performs facility management services under the general direction of the BES Property Acquisition and Services Manager (Facilities Manager) in the Wastewater Group. This position plans, schedules and coordinates the operations and maintenance of a variety of facilities. This position assists the Facilities Manager with the management of a large and diverse portfolio of City-owned buildings and properties. This position investigates and resolves a wide variety of complaints and repair requests. This position also participates in the development and implementation of facility standards, bid requests and specifications for repair services. Work also includes connecting with planning, construction, maintenance and other bureau functions to plan and coordinate projects.
The incumbent demonstrates the ability to handle multiple priorities; interfaces with the community, City stakeholders, and public and private partners; plans, directs, and coordinates a variety of functional specialties with overlapping work areas.
