Regional One Water Leader

We currently have a unique opportunity for a senior engineer with a technical sales and project delivery background to join our team as a Regional One Water Leader in Southern California. In this role you will work alongside a dynamic enterprise water group to service existing clients and grow the business across Southern California.

This position will report directly to the Southern California Area Leader.
· Responsible for strategy development in alignment with and coordination with the business unit/region to grow One Water services over time.
o Participate in development and refinement of BC’s One Water strategy with a focus on refining the Southern California regional plan for strategic clients, programs, projects, and conferences
· Collaborate with business unit leaders, area leaders, and local leaders on regional sales strategy
o Engage SoCal CSMs, business leaders, local delivery, and SDE staff to create and maintain alignment around our regional strategy
o Support development of the annual business plan for California
· Responsible for execution of the regional One Water strategy, including recruiting, development of staff, business development and project delivery roles.
o Execute projects and provide technical expertise in areas such as (but not limited to):
§ Drinking water and/or water reuse planning, design and implementation
§ Potable and non-potable reuse
§ Advanced water and/or wastewater treatment processes
§ Water reclamation; water supply; blending; regulatory requirements; public involvement; and water quality
o Participate directly in collaborative industry associations and research (e.g. AWWA, WateReuse Association, and Water Research Foundation, and Water Environment & Reuse Foundation) and present at conferences to further represent BC’s brand.
o Provide leadership in obtaining and developing new key clients each year in connection with our One Water strategy and annual planned targets
o Drive Regional One Water conference strategy and selectively attend and present at key conferences
o Drive growth and maintenance of the Southern California One Water opportunity funnel
o Where appropriate, serve as pursuit leader or sponsor for one of more of the highest priority One Water pursuits in Southern California; assist others as needed.
o Serve as CSM for one or more of our most important anchor or growth clients.
o Work with enterprise (design and SDE) partners to ensure local BD and project delivery goals are incorporated into enterprise staff’s priorities.
· Prepare and make presentations to clients and for professional meetings
o Manage and execute select 1Water planning and design projects. This could be done by serving as the PM, MM, or Technical Lead
· Participate in monthly 1Water Core Leadership Team meetings:
o Update team on regional progress
o Support advancement of companywide 1Water Conference Plan, Hiring Plan
Skills and Experience:
- B.S. degree
preferably in the areas of Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering or
other related areas with an emphasis on water and wastewater treatment, reuse
and management; M.S. preferred
- Minimum of
10 years of progressively increasing responsibility in related experience.
Engineer registration in California or ability to obtain quickly required
- Minimum of
10 years of experience in drinking water and/or water reuse planning, design
and implementation. Engagement with potable reuse applications is
beneficial. Experience with advanced water and/or wastewater treatment in
municipal or related industries also desired
understanding of advanced water and wastewater treatment processes
and interest in a combination of areas including: potable and non-potable
reuse; water reclamation; water supply; water treatment; blending; regulatory
requirements; public involvement; and water quality
communication skills (verbal and written) for technical and non-technical
