We currently have a unique opportunity for a senior engineer with a technical sales and project delivery background to join our team as a Regional One Water Leader in Virginia.  In this role you will work alongside a dynamic enterprise water group to service existing clients and grow the business across the MidAtlantic.

Job Expectations:

o    Lead the expansion of our One Water business in the Mid Atlantic area with a specific focus on drinking water and water reuse.

o    Serve as technical and business development lead responsible for advancing the Mid-Atlantic’s One Water services

o    Provide client management and/or technical sales support while collaborating with business development teams on opportunities and pursuits in drinking water and water reuse planning, design and implementation projects for our clients

o    Serve as a key client contact with several water and reuse related clients.

o    Effectively balance technical sales initiatives with a technical execution role during the procurement and execution of key projects

o    Execute projects and provide technical expertise in areas such as (but not limited to):

§  Drinking water and/or water reuse planning, design and implementation

§  Potable and non-potable reuse

§  Advanced water and/or wastewater treatment processes

§  Water reclamation; water supply; blending; regulatory requirements; public involvement; and water quality

o    Participate directly in collaborative industry associations and research (e.g. AWWA, WateReuse Association, and Water Research Foundation, and Water Environment & Reuse Foundation) and present at conferences to further represent BC’s brand.

o    Assist with career development of team members and identify high potential performers to create a healthy career progression and sustainable/long standing project support structure for our clients

o    Participate as a key member of the company-wide One Water Core Leadership Team

o    Promote and execute companywide initiatives and values


Desired Skills and Experience:

  • B.S. degree preferably in the areas of Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering or other related areas with an emphasis on water and wastewater treatment, reuse and management; M.S. preferred
  • Professional Engineer registration in Virginia or ability to obtain quickly through reciprocity required
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in drinking water and/or water reuse planning, design and implementation.  Engagement with potable reuse applications is beneficial. Experience with advanced water and/or wastewater treatment in municipal or related industries also desired
  • Solid understanding of advanced water and wastewater treatment processes
  • Experience and interest in a combination of areas including: potable and non-potable reuse; water reclamation; water supply; water treatment; blending; regulatory requirements; public involvement; and water quality
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Prior consulting experience
